I just bought one of these.

Being a newbie. What is the regular focal point I should set at?

Which position should I point the polarization 0 at? 12 oclock or 6?

The focal point depends on your satellite dish.

As for the polarization, the 0 mark needs to be at 12 or 6 O' clock. This is your zero degree. You can adjust it after that.

Any recommended setting?

Tried setting it to around -16.4 polarization but couldn't pick up anything

Are you using LO frequency of 5150MHz?

You will also need to know the F/D of the dish.
