Default No Ku reception from DMX741U

I purchased this LNBF from Galaxy last month and have been able to set it up to receive C band but not Ku.
I have it on a 1.8 metre solid prime focus dish in south eastern Australia. I use a Phoenix VBOX II positioner and an actuator to move the dish. I think I have it tracking reasonably well because I get signal from Intelsat 8 at 166 deg E around to Asiasat 3S at 105.5 deg E, including Chinasat 6B in between.
The positioner is between my set top box (Strong SRT 4910) and a 4 x 1 DiSEqC switch. I have been using 2 of the switch inputs for this dish (the other 2 connect other dishes). I first tried a single cable but could not get the switching right so I went back to 2 cables. I assumed this was okay because the DMX741 manual suggests either way and the same manual is supplied for both.
The set up screen is as follows:
Satellite Intelsat 8/Ku
Frequency (6) 12526 GHz (H)
LNB Power On
LNB Type Universal
LNB Freq 10,700/12750
22KHz Auto (no other options for Universal)
DiSEqC 1.0 4 of 4
DiSEqC 1.1 Off

Level 88%
Quality 25 t0 31% fluctuating

My next step is to point the dish at Intelsat 8, mark the position of the LNBF in the frame ( I have good C band reception), then move the LNBF around. Slight movements of the dish have had no result. My signal meter does not change.

If anyone out there can suggest anything else to try I would be very grateful.

Rod

Thanks Rainman, however all is now well - so far. In desperation I pointed the dish at where the satellite (Intelsat 8) should be and did a blind scan. Up came all these channels! The same thing happened with Asiasat 3S. That made me wonder whether the battery in my signal detector was going flat. I realised I was not using it properly

My next task is to add my new DiSEqC motor to another dish. I have to use a separate dish because the 3 Optus satellites we use for some reason all have their linear beams skewed by 45 deg compared with all others. It should be a straightforward exercise but I am hoping to run the cable through the 4x1 DiSEqC switch to my main set top box. If I have any difficulty I may have to use a separate set top box but I would come back to this forum for other suggestions.
