you can try with the 61.5 it's closer to your south than nimiq1.

Hi KRLOS I got today my SG9120 motor and Dish WS9036,
i'm assembling it now need some help adjusting the Latitude and elevation.

On the Motor i see elevation 15 -25 -35-45-55, and Latitude=35-45-55-65-75,

on the dish antenna have Elevation adjustments a small triangle and inside have numbers 0 to 5, what is the right # for me?

My latitude Here in Providence Boston USA is 41.6975, and Longitude -71.1415,

in the motor instructions table it says i should put 49 as elevation
and Declination is 6.489, where is this declination adjust?

thanks in advance.

just set the latitude on your motor at 41.5 (approximately), i set up the dish just moving it up and down and west or east, look at this: How to install a Ku band FTA dish motor and how to motorize your satellite dish.

Hi KRLOS:i just came from the roof, i had to gave up for today because it's freezing up there not good for this stuff, i put the Dish and Motor on the mount, and used the compass and pointed at 61.5 180.7w,put in elevation angle 42 (in the motor table manual it says 49 for my 41.latitude) and declination on the dish put 34.376 (40 - 6.376 on the table =34.376) i could not see any signal but it seems to me i'm not puting the right parameters on my CWorks receiver.
One question when i tried the sat finder, do i need to put in freq/tp/and lnb in the Cworks receiver in order to get the meter to rise,i used the sat finder connected in between the lnb and the receiver without the motor and i had nothing at all, it Bips but the needle doesn't rise? thanks in advance

Captiveworks is not a good receiver to set up a motor (i have two, 700 and ultima) i do that work with my pansat or my fortec, you have to im your motor to your south, i will check tomorrow the parameters.

I switched to Nfusion and it's easier to setup the Usuals,i was able to setup my Longitude and Latitude and put West to 61.5 and north to 110w, i can move dish from 61.5 to 110w and vise verse on 1.2 disec, don't if i miss something,I'm using LNB FREQ. 11250 and standard,i use to get dn with this Receiver on LNBF but this was with a DP34 switch,
i went up to the roof and tweaked the dish with a set finder and i could have about 80% signal but no Quality on both Sat's, maybe this quad invacom circular is not good for Dn they have their own LNBS, it started to rain so i came down yesterday was the freezing today was OK but it started to rain,i did not try the Linear Sat's, it seems to because these receiver were used with the bin third part software may they have problems now i don't know all the forums i go nobody answers to me about these receivers. it seem everybody uses these just for piracy. thanks CRLOS anyway.

I dont have nfusion and dp34, but i have the quad invacon and is working pretty good with disecq and zinwell, that is my main lnbf to set up a motor because i can get circular and lineal signal with just one lnbf.

this is a small guide that i made for you, sorry by my english i know is not perfect: 1. the first step is to put the pipe completely vertical (this part is the most important one of all) and sufficiently rigid to avoid any type of movement or oscillation. 2. later we will mount the motor on the pipe without tightening it hard enough to permit movement side to side of the motor and dish and we will set the the latitude of the motor to match the latitude of the area in which you live (mine is 33.9). 3. Now you can set the dish to the motor making sure that it remain completely straight. 4. now you seek the longitude of the area in which you live (I did it with Dishpointer) and that will be your true south (mine is 83). 5. then you enter to Lyngsat and search the satellite that is closer to your true south (I chose the AMC5 in the 79w). 6. from here then we aim toward ours south and we begin to move the antenna upward and downward and slightly toward the sides until finding our satellite. 7. when we find our satellite we adjust the angle of the dish to find the best signal quality, now is when we tighten the motor and the antenna and at this point we will move the satellite east to west using USALS; if we continue these steps everything should be correct and our dish will be able to move along the arch without problems. 8. If we want to go beyond the 30w or 127w we should use the 1.2 to move the motor by hand and to save the location, thus we will be able capture the satellites that are in the extreme of the arch as the Tesla12 in it 15w.
