Default Wrong Polarity

I set up a Bsc-621-2 on my birdview dish and the polarity on the sat is opposite of what they should be can I rotate the bsc to get the proper readings.

Yeah, if you turn it about 90 degrees, it should work OK, but if it is off in reality, by turning it 90 degrees, it will then put your Ku band off.

You maybe able to open the Ku portion of it and turn the Ku band part to align it with the C band part.

Hi Rainman,

Sorry for the delay in answering. I've been out of town for the past few days and just now am getting back to Atlanta. I'm actually in the airplane right now as I'm typing this.... Yes, Airtran has internet onboard now.. Super fast too.

Anyway, back to your question, what exactly do you mean by orientation? Could you explain it a little?

Are you talking about the F/D or the polarity?

talking about the polarity. facing the dish using it as a clock does the flat part of the bsc set at the 4 oclock position or is it at the 8 o clock position or just where on the clock face does it suppose to be at hope this is clear if not I will take pictures to show the position of mine.

I'm not sure if the BSC has polarity marks on it or not. The 741 and 741U do.

The zero mark should be at either 6 or 12 O'clock.
