No.

He was using the LO of 10750MHz in his receiver but using the Universal LNBF.

The LO frequency must match the LNBF in order to bring all the channels.

BTW, how are you liking your LNBF Babadem?

Due to my work schedule, I do most of my setups during the weekend and it’s been raining almost every weekend here the past few weeks and this coming weekend may not be different.

Btw, how about giving us more smileys?

For extended C band, the LNBF LO frequency you will need to use is 5150MHz.

9750/10600MHz is the LO frequency for universal Ku band.

Question Hot Dish 90 for C-Band in N. FL

Robby,

I see you are up north of me. I have a Hot Dish 90, that I was using on KU to bring in the Univision stations for my wife on Galaxy 18 @ 123. The company that had those up went bankrupt and they are no longer there. I was looking at C-Band and see many on Sat Mex 5 @ 116.8. Looking at Lyngsat footprint map I should be able to receive that. I have order a C-Band LNBF, 13K, Dual Output LNBF, and a Conical Ring Kit after reading about that on this site. Have you tried that satellite from your location on C band and if so, how was the signal quality? Thanks in advance for your help.

I have tried Sat Mex 5 using the WS1247 and the signal came in weak. I did not try to fine tune or anything I was just scanning the sky to see what all I could pick up. I may be wrong, but my thought is that you will not be able to use a 90cm dish for SM5.

If you ordered the 241, it's a good LNBF. Make sure you don't have an immitation model with similar part#.

If you can install an 8-foot dish, I'd recommend you go ahead and do that. 2.4m Prime Focus Dish | 240cmts Prime Focus C band Dish | 2.4mts C band Dish
