Default installing the dmx741u

Hi,

I have a geosatpro 120cm offset dish. I currently have a qdh-031 Invacom LNBF installed, which is starting to fail on vertically polarised channels. So I was thinking of replacing it with a dmx741u C/Ku LNBF. My questions are:

1. How would the performance of the dmx741u compares with the qdh-031 on the Ku signals? Based on the raw specs it seems that the dmx outperforms the qdh in terms of noise and gain, but what about real reception?

2. I read somewhere that it is not possible to optimize the placement of the dmx for both C and Ku signals, is it true?

3. Finally, do I need some special hardware to mount the dmx on this dish? The current bracket that holds the qdh is 40mm (I believe), I still have to un-mount the qdh, but I won't be climbing to my roof until I get the dmx.

Many thanks in advance.

Daniel
