Smile ku lost its ts

hi guys n girls .got a buddy who has a ku set up with a hh 90 motor 36 inch wingard.quad polar .problem is came home couple dayg ago with dish maxed out to the east .reset stb [ viewsat ultra ] dish would move but will not go to ts it goes to eastern max ive held two buttons while he turns stb on ,with dish at ts .i was able to find 101 83 97 with the user mode .if i use usals it goes like halfe way between 30 w and 97 w .i have done a but load of set ups and repairs but im overlooking something and am hoping for the best ....
like i say he has the best i know of on fta except a few but would like to help him and relive my bother of trying to help

try another receiver the viewsat may have problems if it act's the same with a different receiver it may be a loose or dirty connection or a bad motor.

that was the first thing i did it still dont like true south.goes east gonna tear it down and bring it in cold as u know what
run it on a short cable with no dish .running cleaner file on stb start over
i got to record all sats we have like 6 added to the list that were manually intered will let you all know how it goes

well it didnt work.but its funny i have found 15 sats to view with this motor using the user mode one sat at a time .for now he is good ill get back to it gonna let him use one of mine till i do.thanks.and we did cable exchange ,same o same o

finally got it guys it was the fact i didnt have it set exactly on zero .did that lesson learned
