@ the Red Highlighted.....That's not accurate. I have a ViewSat Ultra and it has Blind Scan. The only slight draw back to the blind scan feature is that it has problems seeing S/R below 3800 or so, otherwise it works well.

.I had one that i already did sell, it has software blind scan not hardware blind scan (there is a diference), Pansat (exept 9000 have real hardware blind scan) and Fortec have real hardware blind scan, viewsonic ( is a brand selled by viewsat and it has real hardware blind scan), dreambox500 has software blind scan, CW700 and CW ultima have real hardware blind scan, i did sell my viewsat ultra because it didn't do a good job scaning and working with motors, regards babadem.

Yea, I had a Viewsat also and sold it. I really think it being made was for the hackers market. About the blind scan, this is why I never sold my Fortec Lifetime Ultra - I use it as a tool and what a great tool it is.

.........that's correct, ...........that's why i keep my Pansat 3500 as a great tool to scan. [they are almost the same receiver (Pansat3500 and Fortec Lifetime Ultra)], regards.

When I hook a FTA receiver in with a big dish with 4DTV, I always use a couple of 950-2150 two-way High Frequency single (1) port DC passive so that the FTA receiver does not "overload" having to supply all currents to the LNB or LNBf's located at the dish. This is the same thing that a DISEq SW does, only supply voltages through one output that come from the receiver to one input, that is, one LNBf. Maybe this is the problem, as I've noticed, especially on the Viewsat models, current draw on the units are a little iffy. Hope that helps, and I really do need a vacation. Just one of the many "probs" can also be coaxial cable lengths, or a little water in the coax; and multi LNB or LNBf's have shown; like a 22 KHz sw draws current and voltage from both lnbf input ports. let alone, 3 lnbf's or 4 or 5...
