Question Another lost newbie with FTA satellite setup

Hi folks,

I thought I could manage a quick setup for my new satellite kit with the 90cm dish, 1 single linear Ku LNB and a Lexium DBS8000+ and connect it to Galaxy 19 at elevation 39.4, azimuth 142.4 and skew of -29.2 (I am in Sunnyvale, CA). But here I am after 2 days of connecting my satellite finder to the receiver + LNB, moving the dish up and down, east and west and truning the LNB clockwise and counter-clockwise, with nothing coming out of the meter (buzzing yes, but no peaks) and 0 quality on the receiver.

Any ideas on why I am doing wrong and how can I get the meter to react to my dish movements?

Thanks.

You may be moving to fast the meters are a little slow. so move about a 1/16 of a inch and allow 10 to 15 seconds for the meter to see the change continue doing this east and west up and down to you get Quality.
Good Luck

Make sure that your pole is level all side. Check you setting. What transponder are you using to track. Try using any of these 12177 V 23000 or 12152 H 20000. Let us know if you need more help.
