Default Newbie needing help with Ws9036 and Omegasat

Hello, I would appreciate any input. I assembled the ws9036, the Ws 521 single output standard LNBF, and Omegasat ( these were ordered as a new set from Galaxy Marketing), and double checked the coaxial cable, and yet my signal strength could not get more than 32% with 0 quality. I got the azimuth 190.7, elevation 44.8, and lnb skew 8.4 from dishpointer as I tried to get G19.
Does anyone have any idea what I'm doing wrong?
(on the Antenna Setup screen, I left everything as they were. Was I supposed to make any changes? ) Thank you.

Default Did you get answer to problem?

Hi-
I am a newbie also, and having the exact same problem with the same gear. Did you find your answer? If so, what was it? Maybe it will help me??
Thanks.

Are you using a Signal Finder, or just looking on a TV set?

What transponder frequency, symbol rate, polarization, and LNBF frequency are you using in the receiver?

transponder frequency, polarization (V) is set by the DSB 5700 receiver. I am using LO frequency 10750, standard LNB settings. I've tried adjusting the skew, see no effect. I have also looked for AMC9 (83W) as well as AMC5. In both cases, with the signal finder, I appear to be correctly aimed, but I still get 0% quality on the TV.

It sure seems as if I have a setting wrong...

Default Got one satellite, how to get more?

Thanks for the help, everyone. I did a blind scan, as someone suggeseted, and I thought I was doing it on AMC5. The scan picked up six channels, which I can now see on my TV, but can't get more sats. It looks like the satellite transmitting is AMC6, not AMC5, according to this list FTAList.com - AMC 6 (72.0 W) channels. How could I scan for AMC5 and get AMC6 channels?

I really don't understand how to operate this receiever. I tryto do more "blind scans" but it tells me to "go to satellite." When I go to the motor screen or the antenna setup screen, and put in my longitude, it goes back to AMC6 before doing the scan?? in fact, it often returns to amc6 without being asked...

I do hope I am nearly there. I'd really like to get Galaxy 19, but i guess this is at least progress.
