Nice setup. You have the original Sonset SG6000 motor and not one of the cheap knock-offs. Also, the WS9036 36 inch satellite dish is a very good and large FTA dish.
According to your zip code, here is your Lat/Long: Location Latitude: 37.7589° Longitude: -80.6993° Your most southern satellite is AMC 5 at 79.0°W. This basically means that if all your settings on the motor is right, when you point your motor to true south, then turn it east about 2.8 degrees and you should be able to lock in AMC 5. Then you can go from there.... |

i have tried setting the angles on the dish at every 2 degrees from the bottom to the top and can't find anything yet. i have a chapparall unversal single lnbf on the ws9036. i have the lattiude set on 37-38 on the motor. i have spent two full days on it so far. should be easy but it is not yet. thanks

What is your:
Motor Azimuth Setting? Dish Azimuth Setting? Elevation Setting? Declination Setting? |

are you using a small tv and the receiver next to the dish very helpful when locating the signal for the first time also allow a few seconds between each small movement for the receiver to see the change also make sure you are using a active transponder on the sat you are looking for. |
