Default newbie to fta trying to align ws 90cm on galaxy 19 at 97west

I have been trying to align this dish on galaxy 19 all day long and have found echostar118 and amc 9, that's it. is there a particular channel on g 19 that i should look for? I haven't quite got the hang of this dish yet, as the angles seem to be off where they are supposed to be. thanks

Make sure you are using Universal LNBF LO frequencies (9750/10600MHz) in your receiver. Get on TP frequency 12177MHz, SR 23000 Vertical. Try aligning it based on this information.

G19 will be located right between AMC 9 and Echo 118.

Do you know y our elevation and azimuth?

Default angles on ws90cm

thanks for the info on the LO freq. i am new to fta and didn't even know it was adjustable! i am not at the dish right now but will be Monday, and will try that first, as amc9 and echo118 were really weak but the satellite meter said they were ok. how accurate are the factory elevation marks on this dish? any input will be invaluable. by the way the dish is stationary.

Smile i found one PROBLEM

I was just looking at the ws90cm dish on the galaxy marketing site and found a picture of it and blew it up. I think i've got the lnbf plastic bracket on TOP of the support arm instead of the arm going inside it!! told you i was a newbie!! that should change things a bit. thanks

Smile update

I followed your advice and i also replaced the lnbf onto the support arm from being bolted onto the top of it. i immediately began receiving signals with good signal strength. it was just a matter of time untill i found galaxy 19. it is now working great. thank you a bunch.

South means the most southern satellite in your area. You will get better help if you can tell us your location, the type of motor you're using etc.
