Cool 4 Tv household!

First hello to all and i would like to pose a forseen problem that i see with having four Tv's and one motorized dish and that is a conflict in switching from channel to channel.
Oh and yes there would be four receivers as well at each Tv,so having said that what could i do other than having a dish farm in the yard or on the roof?

it would be best to have a dish for each receiver that way you could watch different channels with different polarity's. if you use only one dish you can only control it with one receiver and would be stuck watching the same polarity on all the tv's.

I have three TV's three receivers one motorized dish, I'm the only one that watches FTA so the way I have it setup is that the feed from the dish goes to a three-way coax switch. Can only watch one TV at a time but that's OK with me.

Yeah thats pretty much the way i thought, don't know much about free to air as of yet,but came over from the dark side and i thought that a dish for each one was about the way it was going to be,or separate fixed dishes with the right switching!

Hi, at the dish I have a S-DS41C 4-Way DiSEqC Switch, that is so I can switch between Linear and Circular polarity on the LNB. In the house I have a three-way coax switch, this is a manual switch, to switch between receivers and TV's. The receivers provide the switching between polaritys on the LNB.
Jim

So if i understand correctly you have a 4x1 diseqc and a simple a-b switch
is that right?

Yup...........except the simple A-B switch is actually an A-B-C switch. One input and 3 output.................watch one tv at a time on FTA.
